UFC welterweight contender Gilbert Burns can't fight again until he receives clearance from a doctor. That was determined by the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board, which issued Burns an indefinite medical suspension in the wake of UFC 288 this past Saturday at Prudential Center in Newark. Burns lost a lopsided five-round unanimous decision to Belal Muhammad in the night's co-main event. Burns suffered a left shoulder injury in the first round that prevented him from hardly throwing punches with his left hand for the remainder of the fight.
