In the 9th District Hudson County commissioner race, challenger Alex Valdez has outraised incumbent Al Cifelli by a roughly 2-to-1 margin, campaign finance reports shows. By John Heinis/Hudson County View Valdez, who unsuccessfully ran for a Kearny school board and council seats over a decade ago, has raised $21,051.32 to date, compared to $11,720 so far for Cifelli, their respective May 8th reports filed with the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission (NJ ELEC). The challenger also has a similar advantage for cash on hand: $10,946.
